Private Collecting and Public Legacies

Please review the following reservation policies before proceeding with your purchase.

Ticket Availability: Online sales the Private Collecting closes at 4 pm on the day of the lecture. After 4pm, tickets will only be available for purchase at the museum's box office. For more information about ticket availability after online sales have closed, please call 202-387-2151.

Exhibition Admission: Ticket reservations for the Private Collecting only admits to the lecture. The galleries, exhibition, and permanent collection will be closed during this event. Once your reservation is complete, you will receive an e-mail confirmation for your purchase. Please print the confirmation and present it at the will call desk for museum admission and program ticket. You can also present the confirmation on your smartphone or tablet device.

Phillips Collection Members: Members of The Phillips Collection enjoy a 100% discount on tickets to the Director's Perspective, the number of discounted tickets commensurate with membership level. Current members must log in above or register for online benefits, then select the full-priced adult to have the discount applied at checkout. For more information on becoming a member, please visit the membership page.

Reciprocal Members: Members of reciprocal institutions do not receive member discounts to events and programs, including the Director's Perspective. Please reserve at the regular rates to ensure program entry.

Seating and Priority: Please keep in mind that seating is unassigned; attendees should plan to arrive early. Doors will open for seating at 5:30 pm, and the lecture will begin promptly at 5:00 pm. Late seating will be at the discretion of the Phillips Collection Staff.

Cancellations: The Phillips Collection does not offer refunds for cancelled reservations.
